The National Literacy Trust Hub in Middlesbrough led a consultation and workshop to identify what establishing a reading town means for the future of Middlesbrough and our young people and discussed ways this can be achieved.
A range of national examples and suggested approaches were presented for discussion and comment. Our ambition is to establish Middlesbrough as a regional and national leader in multi-partner approaches to raising literacy and boosting attainment. Following the session the National Literacy Trust Hub will work with MAP to identify ways to take this programme forward.
