MAP PSA Network Event, Unity City Academy – Wednesday 7th March 2018
As part of the work of MAP’s Parental Partnership Delivery Group, it has been identified that there is a need for a PSA Network to be established, in order to disseminate information and support which is available to schools throughout Middlesbrough from our partner agencies and organisations and to share best practice. The first event will take place on Wednesday 7th March from 2.00 – 3.00 pm in the Sapere at Unity City Academy, Ormesby Road, Middlesbrough, TS3 8RE and is open to all Parental Support, Pastoral and Educational Welfare contacts within the school setting. The Big Autism Play Day, Hartlepool – Thursday 8th March 2018

Bereavement Book List
A small selection of titles are available from Middlesbrough Libraries, which may help children and young people who have been affected by bereavement, and these books can help deal with grief and bereavement. The full list of books available is available here.

Risk and Resilience Team: ‘Digital Parenting – Keeping your child safe’ workshops
Digital parenting is a short workshop which equips parents with increased knowledge of online world, risks and strategies they can employ to keep their children safe online. For dates of future workshops click here. Click here for a referral form.
Bikeability Cycle Training
815 FREE Bikeability cycle training places per year are available to Middlesbrough primary schools for the next two years. In 2017/18 only 455 of these places were taken up so a lot of Middlesbrough pupils missed out on this valuable, potentially lifesaving training. The training can be booked by contacting Middlesbrough Environment City (MEC) on 01642 219620. MEC can provide a number of cycles on loan so not owning a bike need not be a barrier for pupils.
