Tale Of The Tees – Challenge Event For Tees Valley schools 

On the 14th July there is a special Tees Valley focused challenge day. Pupils must create a response to a stimulus that explores what it is like to live in the Tees Valley; past, present or future. We already have pupils signed up in all of the Local Authority areas of the Tees Valley.

PHE Reports

The reports draw on an analysis of the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children Survey to:

  • Summarise key statistics on self-reported levels of cyberbullying and self-harm and the wellbeing of adolescent girls.
  • Highlight a range of factors operating in young people’s family, peer, school and community environments that potentially buffer against poor mental wellbeing.
  • Signpost to useful sources of support and further information.

Secondary School Staff Get Mental Health First Aid Training

£200,000 funding to help teachers understand and identify mental health issues in children.

From June 2017, teachers in secondary schools around the country will take part in a new training programme to help them identify and respond to early signs of mental health issues in children.
