Middlesbrough – A Reading Town

The Middlesbrough Best 100 Books developed by Middlesbrough A Reading Town MAP Delivery Group have been identified and collated into 4 leaflets and have been delivered to all Primary Schools.

We are hoping that you will join in celebrating the fantastic books included in the leaflets and encourage your pupils to read as many of them as possible. The leaflets were launched in conjunction with this year’s Summer Reading Challenge at the Mela in Centre Square on Saturday 15th July.

The challenge over the summer is to condense the 100 books down to a top 10 – these will then be made into Book Benches and sited in the Community Hubs.

To help with this,  Love Middlesbrough are hosting an interactive voting system, where pupils can like/not like the titles at www.lovemiddlesbrough.com/bororeads

It would be great if you were able to share the voting link via Twitter, Facebook or school website (closing is 16th September) using the tag  #BoroReads

All those who vote will be entered into a free prize door to win bundles of books.
